Celestine coelestis means heavenly, and celiestine forms secondarily from sulphate-containing solutions as cavity filling or bulbous formation in clay, lime or gypsum sediments. Crystals are only formed in fissures and cavities created by water. Celestine is mainly found in Madagascar, the USA and Tunisia.
