Covellin stone
Covellin was named in the 19th century after the French mineralogist Niccola Covellin, who found this stone on Vesuvius. It is also called copper bark. Covellin is found in the USA, Chile and Bolivia.
Covellin has the colours indigo blue to black, if you put it in water it appears violet, and in highly refractive oil red.
