Carnelian

Carnelian gets its name from its colour. It is an orange to brown chalcedony. Synonyms for carnelian are coralin and cornalin. It is found in Uruguay, Botswana and India.

Carnelian is trigonal and appears in the colours yellow, orange, reddish brown or brown.
