Topaz
The name topaz comes either from its place of discovery, the island of Topazus, or from the trogodytic word "topazin=search". Synonyms for topaz are physalite, schorlite, pole stone or camouflage stone. A gold-coloured topaz is called imperial, gold topaz or yellow precious topaz.
It is found in Norway, Brazil, Mexico, USA, Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
It has the colours yellow, golden yellow, brown, red, pale green, blue or violet.
