Thulite
The stone thulite received its name in 1823 by the London mineralogist Henry James Brooke after the island of Thule. The name refers to the thulite deposits in Norway. Synonyms are manganzoisite and unionite. It is found in Norway, Australia and the USA.
It shows the colours red, pink to pink-purple, in Nevada/USA it is also pink-green.
