Turquoise
Turquoise means Turkestone because the stone came to Europe from the Near East in the time of the Crusades. The synonym Kallait means Greek "kalainos=green and blue iridescent". Other synonyms are agaphite, arizonite or callaina. Turquoise is found in the USA, Mexico, Israel, Iran, Afghanistan and China.
In the best quality turquoise is turquoise, otherwise it is pale blue-green or greenish to apple-green.
