Moonstone
Moonstone got its name at the end of the 18th century because of its cool white-blue glow. Synonyms for moonstone are cat stone, hecatolite or water opal.
Moonstone is found in Sri Lanka and India.
Moonstone is monoclinic and is yellowish, colourless, greenish or brownish to smoke-blackened, with a white-bluish waving light shine, which is caused by the fine lamellar structure of the segregated feldspars.
