Vivianite
Vivianite was named in 1817 by Abraham Gottlob Werner after the English mineralogist J.G. Vivian. Synonyms are foliated iron blue, blue iron ore, blue iron spar or iron indig.
It occurs in Germany, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Great Britain, Serbia, Bolivia, Peru and in the USA.
Vivianite is colourless, but on contact with atmospheric oxygen it turns light blue, blue, dark blue, blue-green or black.
