Peridote

The exact origin of peridot is still unclear today. A synonym for the mineral is olivine (lat. olivia=olive), which refers to the yellow-green to olive-green colour of the mineral.

Peridot is found in Norway, Arizona/USA, Egypt, Pakistan, Burma and China.

Its colour varies from olive green, yellow green to brownish.
