Serpentine
Serpentine comes from the Latin "serpens = snake", after the snakeskin-like appearance and the former effect against snake venom. There are countless synonyms. Serpentine is a mineral group consisting of antigorite and chrysotile.
Serpentine is found in China, Australia, Tanzania, Mexico, USA, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Russia and New Zealand.
Antigorite is yellow-green, bottle-green to green-black, chrysotile is silvery-green.
