Labradorite

Labradorite is named after the Canadian peninsula Labrador and was first found there in 1770. In 1962 a special labradorite was found in Finland which is called spectrolite because of its colourfulness. The two stones are used as healing stones. Synonyms for labradorite are labrador stone, anemousite or labratownite.

It is found in Canada, Madagascar, Finland or Ukraine.

Labradorite is white, yellowish, grey, greyish-green, brownish to black.
