Heliotrope

The name heliotrope means "solstice stone", (Greek: heliou tropai=solstice). It is also often called bloodstone or blood jasper. Heliotrope is a green, fine-grained fibrous quartz with red iron oxide flecks.

Heliotrope is mainly found in India.

This stone appears only in dark green with red spots.
