Fossils

Fossil means excavated material (lat. fossilis = excavated) and in former times everything stony, i.e. earth stones and metal was called that. In the 18th century, however, the term was restricted to fossilizations.

Fossils are impressions or remains of plants or animals from earlier geological eras. In the past, fossils were used worldwide for cultic and medical purposes.

Fossils can only be found in sedimentary rocks such as limestone or clay. They can be found all over the world, the most important sites are in Germany, France, Great Britain, Spain, Morocco, USA and Australia.

Fossils usually appear in grey, brown, colourless, black or matt.

Ammonites, Belemnites, trilobites, corals and petrified wood are used as healing stones. These are easy to distinguish visually.

Healing effect
Fossils are used as protective stones, strengthen assertiveness, help to gather strength, convey a good point of view, they should be worn as pendants
